Week 27-28
The holiday season is upon us, which is clearly reflected in the number of visitors to the Garden. And there’s plenty to see and smell. Right now the Rose Garden is in full bloom – the 200 or so rose varieties are really worth a visit, and the old rose varieties in particular smell heavenly. And our own Rosa ‘Bangsbo’ is in full bloom in pots by the Garden Centre.
In Denmark’s Wild Plants there are flowers in all the beds too – the Flower Field has changed colour – now the yellow colours dominate. Butterflies, bumblebees and our own bees are basking in the easily available nectar.
Continuing to the Botanical Gardens, you can enjoy all the peonies in practically every colour of the rainbow, just as the beautiful primroses along the canals light up.
