The 14th century was a very turbulent time. During these very turbulent years, several refuge castles, the so-called Motter, were built around the country.\n<\/p><p class=\"bde-f-text-2981-130 bde-f-text bbh-body\">\nThe building that stands there today dates from around 1750 and was built by the manor&#039;s first bourgeois owner, merchant and miller Jens M\u00f8ller. It is built as a three-winged Baroque structure, but the cellars are the original ones from Ingeborg Skeels Bangsbo.\n<\/p><p class=\"bde-f-text-2981-131 bde-f-text bbh-body\">\nIn 1992, an exact replica of Bindesb\u00f8ll&#039;s bridge was inaugurated, and it was as if all the old cultural patrons were once again walking around and enjoying themselves in the park.\n<\/p><p class=\"bde-f-text-2981-132 bde-f-text bbh-body\">\nThe entrance to the main courtyard buildings is now planted with rhododendrons, which were donated to the Garden by one of the faithful friends, J\u00f8rgen Corfitzen in Sor\u00f8, who just had 70 \u2013 80 rhododendron hybrids \u201cin stock\u201d, and if the Botanical Garden did not want them, they would end up on the St. Hans bonfire. The Garden\u2019s Friends immediately sponsored 80 cubic meters of milled peat from Sweden; a local haulage company found an empty long trailer on its way home from Finland, and all the rhododendrons were quickly loaded onto it. 6 hours later, the long trailer drove into the museum\u2019s courtyard, and Frederikshavn Municipality had provided machinery and personnel to clear the old beds and subsequently move the many cubic meters of milled peat into place.\n<\/p><p class=\"bde-f-text-2981-133 bde-f-text bbh-body\">\nOn Maundy Thursday, April 12, 2001, members of the Garden Friends made themselves available to plant rhododendrons. And as the morning progressed, it became more and more wintry, and there was actually a veritable snowstorm. However, this did not deter the planting team, who got all the plants into place in the two prepared planting beds.<br>Some oriental lilies have also been planted, which bloom somewhat later than the many rhododendrons and, in addition, smell wonderful.\n<\/p><\/div><\/main>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bangsbos voldsted g\u00e5r formentligt tilbage til middelalderen. 1300-tallet var nogle meget urolige \u00e5r.
