The spring sunshine works wonders, which is evident in the yellow crocuses under the fruit trees by the Garden Centre. It’s also clear to see in the Tufa beds that spring is upon us – the small Saxifraga are in full bloom. Snowdrops and Easter bells are also well advanced – a night with minus 5 degrees can cause most of the flowers to “turn down”, but when the sun is up again, they fortunately rise again. It’s still cold with a few snowflakes in between – I wonder if it will get better soon…..

The friends are well underway with the spring work – pruning, raking leaves and washing signs and rubbish bins really looks great.
