The sun is beating down on the gardens, and together with the relatively cool north wind, the garden is drying out, so the watering season has now begun. This takes up a lot of staff time, but then there are other projects that have to be postponed or left to the members of the Circle of Friends, who now turn up in large numbers twice a week.
The weather forecast promises rain on Wednesday or Thursday – I wonder if that’s something to bet on…
