The usual summer heat has turned into a heat wave, and we’ll just have to put up with it for a few days—though I imagine most people are happy about the warmth. This means we need to water all the gardens, so we’ll be spending some time moving the sprinklers around, but the plants certainly benefit from the water, even though it would be best if it came gently from above. Peonies and roses are really in full bloom right now, and there are many varieties and colors to admire.
