Week 34
The willow tree in the Medicinal Herb Garden has now been felled and the branch material collected and prepared for collection. It is not yet clear how old the tree was, as there is rot in all the trunks, and it is practically impossible to count tree rings in the rotten area.
The tours will continue for the foreseeable future, and it is evident to other visitors to the Garden that the word-of-mouth method is quite effective in getting the word out about how beautiful the Garden is.
There are now quite a few butterflies especially in the Grass Section, so if you are interested in these insects, now is the time.
