The warm late summer weather still gives rise to lively activity from the butterflies – there are especially many Admirals where there is fallen fruit from bird cherries, but hemp agrimony, butterfly bush, and bluebells also tempt many butterflies to visit.

In the medicinal/herb garden, there are many bumblebees eagerly seeking nectar from the flowering herbs, and one can only hope that some of the rarer species of butterflies will follow the warm currents and visit the rich selection of nectar-filled flowers.
