Birds
The Botanical Garden is a neighbor to/part of Bangsbo Forest, which integrates the area's fauna. You don't have to spend very long in the area before you are greeted by the very varied birdlife.
Some species are more visible than others – some are here all year round, while others are migratory birds and are therefore only observed at certain times of the year.
If you are lucky, there are also rarities to see, including the kingfisher, which can be seen near water, and fortunately we have that in many places. Large birds of prey also pass through the area from time to time - and here it is truly an experience to see the white-tailed eagle when it soars at high altitude over the Vrangbæk river valley. Or the red kite, which with its characteristic navigation with its V-shaped tail scans the area for prey.
