Winter flowering bed

As the title says, this bed contains plants that bloom either in the winter or very early spring. This applies to both woody and herbaceous plants.

The Christmas roses (Helleborus niger) are some of the first to show their white flowers close to the ground - later other Hellebores come, but these species or hybrids are called Easter bells, since their flowering time is mainly around Easter. Crocus, spring heather, scilla, snowdrops, pearl hyacinth and tulips are of course also found here, where they cover the forest floor under witch hazel in different colors, forsythia, imperial bush, winter jasmine and early flowering rhododendron.
