Park facilities The herb garden

The spice garden in Bangsbo is located next to one of Denmark's oldest barns, which dates back to around 1580.

In the beds you will find many of the very common and widely used herbs, but also the slightly more unusual and several varieties of the herbs you probably already know.

Here it is allowed to pick a little for your own consumption. Remember that in all other parts of Bangsbo Botanical Garden it is not allowed to pick flowers and seed pods.

The herbs are all provided with a small sign that briefly explains what they taste particularly good with.
The herbs are neither sprayed nor fertilized with artificial fertilizers. Bangsbo Botanical Garden uses neither pesticides nor artificial fertilizers, but only fertilizes with organic fertilizers and has an agreement with the birds to eat lice and other pests.

The herb garden was established in 2024 with support from Rotary Bangsbostrand and the Botanical Gardens Friends' Circle.
