Fern beds
In the area in front of the large stone dike on the edge of the forest to the west, a bed has been created that will practically only contain ferns.
Ferns are a class of plants that consists of around 20,000 species.
A fern is a vascular plant that reproduces by means of spores. The spores are formed on the surface of the fern fronds – usually on the underside. Ferns can be very different, but many consist of small or large finely divided leaves that originate from the same point on a root or a growing point on a rhizome.
A collection of snowdrops has been planted between the ferns – approximately 15 species/varieties have already been planted and can be seen from February to April.
