Bangsbo Flower Festival
About Bangsbo Flower Festival
The purpose of holding the Bangsbo Flower Festival is to create a public festival in Bangsbo Botanical Garden with a focus on flowers and plants.
Bangsbo Flower Festival is a significant revenue-generating and market-leading activity for Bangsbo Botanical Garden, which is an independent institution, where the income, in addition to income from the Parties Agreement with Frederikshavn Municipality, consists of sponsorships and profits from Bangsbo Flower Festival.
Bangsbo Botanical Garden has full responsibility for and rights to the Bangsbo Flower Festival, including appointing members to the steering committee.
Bangsbo Botanical Garden is managed by a board of 9 - 12 members, of which approximately half are part of the steering committee for Bangsbo Flower Festival. All decisions about Bangsbo Flower Festival are made by the steering committee by consensus, or by a qualified majority.
Exhibitors must all have relationships with flowers and plants or accessories for these products. However, exhibitors with special ties to the Bangsbo area may be permitted to participate. Exhibitors can be associations, producers, private individuals or businesses.
To make the festival interesting and attractive, there is a serious and exciting entertainment program, preferably performed by local entertainers, which may include music, singing, dancing, gymnastics, etc. There will also be activities for children, so that the festival remains an experience for the whole family.
Welcome to summer – and welcome to the Bangsbo Flower Festival.
