The diversity in the Botanical Garden is great – right now some selected roses are still blooming, while the flowering in other parts of the Garden is clearly in retreat. But then you can enjoy the incredibly beautiful autumn colors in the leaves of trees and shrubs, now that the green dye chlorophyll has been drawn into the plants.
The birds are still flocking to the bird feeder at the Gardener's House – dragonflies are still active by the lakes, and last week's rain has caused mushrooms to appear. Lots of bolete and porcini mushrooms, which are developing almost day by day.
